You may remember the sneak peak from this little shoot I did a few weeks back. I met Bex & Tim through an old friend and was thrilled when they decided to book me. For their engagement shoot we headed to Borough Market for a fun, colourful backdrop. Bex & Tim live in London however implied they may not forever, so wanted the shoot to be their as its a big part of their lives right now.  The weather was a bit shocking (as it has been just lately) however we did have an outbreak of sunshine just at the right moment. Bex was so excited about the shoot so it was lovely to have a super enthusiastic girl to photograph. When there was another outbreak of rain we headed to a little tea shop where we warmed up and indulged in some yummy macaroons! Bex and Time are a lovely couple and I know their day will be filled with lovely moments and lots of happiness x

Jenny & Alex came to me through a voucher that they won at a charity auction. Not only were they young, gorgeous, delightful but OH SO IN LOVE!!! I nearly cancelled the shoot as the weather was pretty bad (is it ever going to get better)? However we went ahead and all took a wonder around the village Clophill where I live. It was pretty amazing the lovely little spots i found to shoot at. We even stumbled across a garage with some old cars out the front that the mechanic was more than happy for us to use. Just as we found the location we got some killer light. I am so glad these guys won the voucher as they were an absolute delight to shoot! xx

I am a bit rubbish at keeping up with not only my blog but also telling you all when I get published! I am hoping to start a new section on my website containing all my published work. However for now I am going to try to keep you up to date via the blog.

Last summer I shot Georgia & Fe’s beautiful Parisian themed wedding in Hertfordshire. This month it has been featured in Wedding Flowers Magazine.

Man I LOVED shooting this wedding. Ian actually said to me at one point during the day “I think you and Vic have similar taste”……………hell yeah!!! Everywhere i looked there were gorgeous little details and cute stationary. Vicky had gone all out on doing little flags, gorgeous decor and not to mention how stunning she looked in her Jenny Packham dress. Vicky got ready at her mums with all her bridesmaids before we headed on to the little local church for their service. A fab bright red route master bus dropped all the guests their straight from the pub (way to go guys). After the service all the guests, including Vicky & Ian hopped on to the bus and headed for the venue, Gaynes Park. I have to say I think this is my new favorite venue!!! Not only is it a gorgeous setting, they won “best venue” in the 2012 wedding industry awards, I can totally see why. OH and one other thing the starter was a “scotch egg”, myself and Daz are obsessed with Scotch egg’s so I was in love the minute that was served up.

The day was filled with laughter, fun and sunshine. Some amazingly funny speeches that included some dodgy photos, ginger wigs and the grooms “record of achievement” (gosh do they even have those anymore)? Now I feel old. Thanks guys for letting me shoot your day and thanks for making it a complete photographic treat! xx

Carmen is back!

You may remember this little cheeky lady from last February!

Well it was time for me to return to the lovely Kate & John’s to capture little Carmen at a new stage in her life. Absolutely bursting with character and cute charm she was a dream to photograph. Carmen carry’s things around with her all the time which was so sweet as it she made work for herself moving all her favorite things from one place to another. Later this year Carmen will be welcoming a new little brother or sister into the world. It was lovely to see everyone again and capture such a special time in a family’s life. I was a little trigger happy yesterday with such a cutie running about so this is a mere taster of the shoot. Enjoy! xEasily my favorite shot from the day, Carmen giving her teddy a bath (in the sink)!

Melissa & Greg

Just got time to post a lovely little Autumnal wedding from last year! Melissa and Greg had small but beautiful intimate do, with close friends and family. Melissa is one of these lovely calming girls that is kind and positive. I tend to whiz through life at a fast pace and on occasions like a whirlwind. Melissa somehow just makes you slow down and take stock, it’s a lovely quality to have!! Another thing i noticed about these two is just how in love they are. Always complimenting one another and taking time to chat lots to each of their guests! Melissa’s gorgeous Jenny Packham headband looked stunning against her dark hair, and her lovely pale English complexion is to die for! Certainly makes easy work of photography. After a season filled with colour, craziness, and 100+ guest weddings it was great to shoot this cute little chilled wedding. Thanks guys! I loved shooting their couple shots, look at that gorgeous light!xxxx

Denica & Steve – Festival Love!

March 12th, 20120add a comment

Over the weekend i shot the lovely Denica and hubby to be Steve’s engagement shoot. I was excited when Denica started emailing a few weeks back saying that she wanted to do a themed engagement shoot. The couple met at Reading festival, so it TOTALLY made sense for them to have a festival themed shoot. I know Denica spent the following weks after our conversation gathering props for the shoot. Working at a televsion studio and being able to raid the props department was also a huge help! There were treasures galore when we met to do the shoot (which meant a rather heavy trek into the woods), however it was so worth it. It’s always nice if people have ideas about their shoot and things they want to incorporate. Denica had even blue tacked down a scrabble game with words that reflect herself and Steve as a couple. Having done many Glastonbury’s with Daz and spending the best times of my life their I was excited about being involved in Denica and Steve’s festival experience. We got some funny looks off passing dogs and their owners but all in all it was a fab morning. Thanks guys for going to so much effort and bringing lots of treasures (including pics of the cats, ahhhhhhh). I am only posting a few best bits up as blogging is rather time consuming and I have many a wedding to post yet…….! Enjoy x

Even the cat’s were there in spirit!

This is a personal/commercial post. My good friend Helen gets married on Sunday and THE SHIRE camp are sooooooooooo excited! Helen hasn’t been all that long in the planning as she made a decision to bring her wedding forward from 2013 to this March. Without going into too much detail Helen has had a rubbish 12 months (you can read a bit more about it here). Planning her wedding has given her a focus during some tough times and a opportunity to forget all the sad complicated things in her life. Obviously I have been on hand to help with whatever I can, including recommending suppliers and dress fittings etc! One person I did recommend to Helen (as I think she is fab), is Nat from NC Bridal Beauty. I think its so nice for a girl to feel pampered on her wedding day, and leave all the little touches to the pro’s! Myself and a few friends decided to club together and pay for Helen’s make up for her wedding.

A bit about Natster now! I have worked with Nat on a handful of weddings and artistic shoots. Its always so lovely to turn up at a wedding and see a familiar face. I shot Nat’s wedding back in 2009 and since then our friendship has grown stronger and stronger. Its a lovely industry to work in and its people like Nat that make that so. Her make-up business is going from strength to strength, and rightly so as she is one talented girl!

Please leave your comments and well wishes for Helen and Sean, I know it would mean a lot to them! xxx
