Kat & Ed Engagement Shoot
July 28th, 20113add a comment
Well I have to say Kat & Ed haven’t had the best luck with weather so far. When they turned up at the studio it was like night time the sky was so dark, you could tell some heavy rain was looming. Just as we were about to leave the heavens opened! There was no way i could have even stepped outside for a second as it was that heavy (gotta keep them cameras dry). We headed to the poppy field (that myself and Daz had scouted out the night before) and waited for the rain to calm down. With a slight drizzle in the air we pressed on. Kat you were braver than me as my hair would be rubbish in that weather but you still managed to look glam! Kat & Ed were so natural in front of the camera, more than happy to snuggle up together and sit down in wet grass. Kat had this lovely habit of closing her eyes every time Ed kissed her it was so sweet! You guys were brave and so up for it as the rain didn’t stop, but we got some fab shots all the same! x
Love this shot!

My new favorite location – The Poppy Field!!

Kat looks so happy and contended in this shot!
Looking forward to the wedding guys.
Clare & Shaun Engagement Session

I nipped over to Clare and Shaun’s to do their engagement session a few weeks back. Clare decided to have her make-up trial with my good friend Natalie from NC Bridal Beauty. Its a good way for brides to have a practice of the make-up and ensure you are looking and feeling uber fabulous for the shoot! Calre looked stunning and talk about pick the perfect evening we had gorgeous sunlight beaming through the tree’s. We went for a wonder out the back of their house and found some right treasures for back drops. Poor old Shaun…….I doubt he was feeling all that masculine in amongst all the daisy’s. He went along with it though and we managed to get some lovely shots of him and Clare laughing and enjoying the sunshine together. Thanks guys and really looking forward to the wedding. x
Hayley & Liam

For Liam & Hayley’s pre-wedding shoot we met in Nether Heyford in Northamptonshire. We started off at the pub and then moved onto a field towards the end. It was later in the day so we had that lovely low, warm light. These two were actually a bit nervous about the shoot so after a bit of reassurance we got started. Liam was so affectionate towards Hayley with constant kisses and cuddles. I think the shots we got really sum up just how good together this pair are!

I met Lauren last Summer when she was in full swing sorting her wedding plans. I was chuffed to bits when she decided to go ahead and book me. I ventured up to Cheshire a few weeks back now to meet up with her and hubby to be Andy! We had plans to get their pooch in on the pre-wedding shoot however Lauren decided against it at the last minute. I am so pleased with how the shots came out and maybe in hindsight it was better that the dog didn’t make an appearance as we were then focused on getting some great shots of these guys. Getting some lovely ones wasn’t tricky as Lauren and Andy both look great in front of the camera! They knew what worked and what didn’t, and were happy to get in and have a smooch from time to time! Im really looking forward to the wedding in the summer and only hope the weather is as good as it was on their pre-wedding shoot! x
Lisa & Paul Pre-Wedding Shoot

I have been quite slow on the blogging front just lately. With half terms and frantically playing catch up with editing its been a slow burn. I have lots of exciting things in the pipeline to with a new website and some fun projects with schools.
Anyway without any delay please see Lisa & Pauls pre-wedding shoot below. We found an old barn with some great bright machinery, that offered a lovely back drop. I am going to be blogging their wedding straight after this post so watch this space! x
Emma & Sam Engagement Shoot

I think today is the official day that all decorations, lights and tree’s must be taken down so I feel its ok to sneak in one last Christmassy blog post. Well this isn’t taking into account the four December weddings I did, but hey ho.
Emma & Sam are getting married in February which will be my first wedding of the year. When we were discussing what to do for their pre-wedding shoot I wanted to do something colourful and a bit different. We were considering going to a fair ground and then Emma got in touch about “Winter Wonderland” at Hyde Park. Its all things Christmassy and I am a huge Christmas fan so knew this would be fun!
The only shame was we picked the coldest day possible and I mean FREEZING!!! The light was bleak and there was a huge chill in the air. The evening prior to this was a record breaking -temp so you can only imagine. Brrrrrrrrrrr! Jamie Oliver had a big stand in the niddle where we filled up on hot sausage stew, it hit the spot. Sam was kind enough to buy us all a mulled wine to take the chill off to – thanks Sam.
We had a blast and despite rubbish chilly weather I am pleased with the outcome! Thanks to my friend Sara for lugging my camera gear around and loaning my some warm gloves!

A silly one of me to finish of with a big giant Santa! Love it! Bye bye Christmas, until next time….. x
Toni & Adam Engagement Shoot

Well its fair to say its been a while since I blogged a pre-wedding shoot. I dont tend to have many of them this time of year as next years weddings want to hold out for the Spring and lots of couples I have left have already had them. With a wedding this weekend and four in December there are still plenty of pre-wedding shoots to blog.
Toni & Adam are getting married at Blenheim Palace eeeeeeeeeeeeek – yes Blenheim Palace. This is so exciting as the venue is just unreal. Its grandeur is breath taking and the grounds, rooms and general places to shoot would leave anyone spoilt for choice. I thought it would be good to meet Toni and Adam there so I could do a little recky and check out some good spots for shooting on the wedding day. Toni and Adam are getting married in December so there wedding will be full of twinkly lights, big Christmas tree’s and ball balls. Being a massive Christmas fan myself its fair to say I am pretty excited about shooting their big day!

I am going to be very naughty and not say much about this shoot purely because i am so behind on my blogging thought it would be better to get pics up rather than writing lots of speel to read…..!
Erin & Anthony were good fun to work with and I am very much looking forward to their wedding next year. I love their height difference to – check out Anthony lifting her up towards the end. Such a cute shot! I loved the colours in this shoot with all the beautiful lavender and bright doors. I think Anthony was a good sport to agree being photographed in a field of Lavender with his fiance!
