Emma & Sam Engagement Shoot
January 6th, 20113add a comment
I think today is the official day that all decorations, lights and tree’s must be taken down so I feel its ok to sneak in one last Christmassy blog post. Well this isn’t taking into account the four December weddings I did, but hey ho.
Emma & Sam are getting married in February which will be my first wedding of the year. When we were discussing what to do for their pre-wedding shoot I wanted to do something colourful and a bit different. We were considering going to a fair ground and then Emma got in touch about “Winter Wonderland” at Hyde Park. Its all things Christmassy and I am a huge Christmas fan so knew this would be fun!
The only shame was we picked the coldest day possible and I mean FREEZING!!! The light was bleak and there was a huge chill in the air. The evening prior to this was a record breaking -temp so you can only imagine. Brrrrrrrrrrr! Jamie Oliver had a big stand in the niddle where we filled up on hot sausage stew, it hit the spot. Sam was kind enough to buy us all a mulled wine to take the chill off to – thanks Sam.
We had a blast and despite rubbish chilly weather I am pleased with the outcome! Thanks to my friend Sara for lugging my camera gear around and loaning my some warm gloves!

A silly one of me to finish of with a big giant Santa! Love it! Bye bye Christmas, until next time….. x
Toni & Adam Engagement Shoot

Well its fair to say its been a while since I blogged a pre-wedding shoot. I dont tend to have many of them this time of year as next years weddings want to hold out for the Spring and lots of couples I have left have already had them. With a wedding this weekend and four in December there are still plenty of pre-wedding shoots to blog.
Toni & Adam are getting married at Blenheim Palace eeeeeeeeeeeeek – yes Blenheim Palace. This is so exciting as the venue is just unreal. Its grandeur is breath taking and the grounds, rooms and general places to shoot would leave anyone spoilt for choice. I thought it would be good to meet Toni and Adam there so I could do a little recky and check out some good spots for shooting on the wedding day. Toni and Adam are getting married in December so there wedding will be full of twinkly lights, big Christmas tree’s and ball balls. Being a massive Christmas fan myself its fair to say I am pretty excited about shooting their big day!
Erin & Anthony

I am going to be very naughty and not say much about this shoot purely because i am so behind on my blogging thought it would be better to get pics up rather than writing lots of speel to read…..!
Erin & Anthony were good fun to work with and I am very much looking forward to their wedding next year. I love their height difference to – check out Anthony lifting her up towards the end. Such a cute shot! I loved the colours in this shoot with all the beautiful lavender and bright doors. I think Anthony was a good sport to agree being photographed in a field of Lavender with his fiance!
Sylvia & Dan Engagement Shoot!

Quite a while ago now I photographed Sylvia and Dan in and around the village where they live in Wilden. Sylvia and Dan only met me this year and booked a few months back. I was thrilled when they told me they were going to use me for their photography as the wedding is at Notley Abbey. This is a stunning venue and one that i have wanted to shoot at for some time now.
Sylvia and Dan were a pleasure to work with as they were fun and laid back. They were very pleased with the shots and have bought some extra prints for them selves which I think is always a good idea as its nice to have some casual but professional shots of yourself around the house.
I have already shot their wedding and will be posting it in a few weeks. Notley Abbey and their fabulous wedding day certainly lived up to my expectations.
Kathryn & Mark Engagement Shoot

I met Kathryn and Mark last year when Kathryn was in late stages of her pregnancy with a little girl. We all decided it would be best to wait until their little bundle of joy had arrived before doing their pre-wedding shoot so she could feature in the photos. I went last week to see them and couldn’t believe how much their lives had changed since beautiful little Evie had arrived. Kathryn looked radiant and both herself and Mark looked so thrilled that little Evie could feaure in their pre-wedding shoot.
It was quite a warm evening so we decided to start off at Kathryn and Mark’s house and then move onto a corn field to get that lovely low warm sunlight. The couple were great at positioning Evie wherever I wanted her. Us photographers are so light driven and often where we want our subjects isn’t ideal but Kathryn and Mark were very obliging. There was lots of smiles all round with the help of Evie’s little bunny rabbit! Im looking forward to the wedding later this year.

Last week I went to Luton to shoot Kelly & Neils pre-wedding shoot.
Kelly was quite nervous about the shoot and I have no idea why as she is a gorgeous girl!!! After taking a few shots she soon settled into it and realised it was a fun laid back experience.
The biggest problem I had when editing this shoot was putting things into black & white as we found so many colorful back drops to shoot against.
I am looking forward to shooting their wedding at one of my FAVOURITE venues priory barn little wymondley.

Georgia & Fe – PARIS!
July 2nd, 20102add a comment
Some of you may know a while back I ventured over the Channel to Paris to shoot Georgi and Fe’s beautiful engagement shoot. What an amazing time we had…..!
Georgia approached me earlier this year about shooting her wedding next year and when meeting herself and Fe I really hope I got the gig. I really clicked with them straight away and to top it off they were madly in Love and a totally gorgeous couple.
Fe is Parisian so Georgia had mentioned doing the shoot in Paris, its fair to say I didn’t need much persuasion. I was a little nervous as I haven’t shot there before and sometimes lots of people around and different light circumstances throws up new challenges. Fe was great taking us places and advising me on good spots that were typically Parisian.
I got the chance to do a few travel bits which I have also included in the blog post. I am so glad I did get the gig and without wishing time by am looking forward to their wedding next year!
Emma & Jonathan Engagement Shoot!

Last week I met up with Emma & Jonathan who are getting married this Summer. We needed to do the shoot in the evening due to their work commitments and have to say we could not have picked a more beautifully lit evening if we tried. Light is so key to photography and these images show this off perfectly.
We took a walk down to their local park and river armed with a bean bag and blanket. I always like to have som props to use (or something to sit on) however not much is needed when you have killer light like we did to play with.
When you photograph people its great to see their personalities come across in the images. Both Emma and John are calm gentle people and I think this really reflects in their shoot. Bring on lovely warm light for the wedding!!
Sophie & Eddie Engagement Shoot

A few weeks back I shot Sophie and Eddie’s engagement shoot. They are getting married in July and I cant believe how the big day has crept up on us all! I met them early last year and to think that the wedding is almost here is shocking.
We decided to do the shoot at their wedding venue – Horwood House, as this is somewhere I have not photographed before.
The venue is lovely with stunning gardens and beautiful blosson tree’s that were blowing everywhere it was like being in the snow (only a little warmer). Considering Eddie was quite nervous about the shoot I think they look great and they are now a lot more relaxed about the photos on their big day.
