Baby Jack

I am ashamed to say i did this shoot some time ago and feel awful I am only just getting round to blogging it now.
I shot Kelly and Rael‘s wedding back in 2009 up in Leeds (just want to point out its not the wedding, im not that behind). Kelly is a friend from school so it was a real honor to be asked to shoot their wedding but also to then get the opportunity to shoot Kelly during the later stages of her pregnancy (she still had the cutest baby bump). Kelly popped over for lunch today with little Jack (who is almost crawling), where does the time go…..? As I had edited the pictures earlier this week I thought I would do a little slide show for her. It is so lovely to see people’s reactions to images and to remind them of a wonderful time. I then thought I should really do a blog post and share these gorgeous pics.
Although I have never been pregnant I imagine it to be a wonderful time in your life and a time that is lovely to be captured. I often get expecting mums ask me about doing bump shoots and worrying about them not feeling their best or looking big. When speaking to Kelly today she said she loved being pregnant and i think this really comes across in the photos. If you are happy to embrace it and enjoy the feeling of being pregnant then why not. Kelly and Rael look great in these pics and I hope I get to photograph Jack sometime soon xx

I love the feeling in this next image.

This next shot is one of my all time favorites from the shoot, hence its on the homepage of my website!

You guys make the cutest family, mwoah! xx

Did a shoot today with my friend Jo & Lee’s beautiful little boy Noah! He was as good as gold on the shoot and we managed to get some fab shots. Probably shouldn’t openly admit this on the blog but he made me all broody, awwwwww! Better not get ahead of myself though, one step at a time, wedding first.
Im so happy for my lovely friend’s Jo and Lee, parenthood couldn’t suit them more and little Noah has bought them both so much happiness! He is a gorgeous little boy and a proper little smiler, so quite easy to photograph FACT. I wish you all as a gorgeous little family lots of laughter and fun together. Thanks for letting me be involved in Noah’s life xx

My blog once again has been neglected. I don’t think i have ever shot so much in my life as what i have been doing this past month. Consequently the back log is immense and editing is stacked up right now.
I wanted to put a few gorgeous images on the blog so you can see what i have been up to! This is the lovely Bertie and Tilly that i photographed yesterday. I hope to post a full shoot of them sometime in the not so distant future! x
Michelle and her lovely baby bump!

On a pretty chilly day i did a shoot of Michelle and her baby that is simmering away nicely in her tummy. I shot Andy & Michelle’s wedding back in 2009, which i have to say feels like a life time ago. I was thrilled when they came along to my launch in August and announced the news that they were expecting their first baby. It is so warming when friends come back to you years later to get shoots of their babies, bumps and children. It gives me the chance to see what people have been up to in the time that i haven’t seen them. It even nicer to see them go on and start a family together.
Michelle is at a lovely stage in her pregnancy where she looks and feels great. Considering it was freezing and a pretty drab day she just took everything in her stride. We will be doing another shoot when the ababy decides to make an appearance. Good luck with the birth Michelle and cant wait to come and meet the new person in your life.
Ps Just wanted to say – Michelle & Andy do not know the sex of the baby. I have a hunch that it might be a girl so photographer the ladies under the sign.

I have been refraining myself from blogging this lovely shoot as it was a surprise for Christmas. The Dad of these 3 cute chappies knew that his wife would love some pro shots of the kids for Christmas. I am sure Mandy would not have thought to look at my blog however I would never have forgiven myself should she stumble across them and ruin the surprise. Darren managed to book the shoot, steal the kids for an hour and get them dressed up without Mandy suspecting a thing. Its a lovely gift and pretty personal to.
I hooked up with Darren and the three kids at a rushed evening shoot in late November. Talk about the perfect little subjects, these kids are beyond cute and were very well behaved. They did everything they were instructed to do and were extremely polite. What was even more lovely is that despite their cool and calm approach to the shoot, they still managed to bring a bit of personality to it. It was a total pleasure working with them and I am thrilled with the results that we managed to get.

A bit of light relief for you now from the weddings, ahhhhhhhh I hear you say.
I shoot a lot of little people however rarely have time to blog any of them, so thought I would get posting little Lara who I shot at the end of Summer. There isn’t really a lot to say other than this little lady is a treasure, very thoughtful and independent. Lara was really working the modeling with all her outfit changes and certainly knew how to pull a smile out the bag for the camera. Enjoy!
Feels like teen spirit!

I find teenagers quite a difficult thing to photograph as I always manage to make myself feel old and un cool, despite being quite in touch with the younger generation (or so I think). These guys were actually pretty good fun and once they all got going they settled into it nicely.
Jo is a friend of mine who owns a fabulous hair salon called Josephs in Flitwick. Every year she gets some shots done of her girls and her best friend also comes along with her children. It is great to have a client that feels it is important to get shots of the children every year. This way she gets to have lovely imagery of the girls hanging on the wall following them though the ages.

Would you believe I do actually photograph family portraits! The wedding season has been in full flow for a while now and with the end looming the album design is in full swing. Weddings always keep me busy this time of year and it has meant i haven’t had much chance to blog my kids work. I love photographing children and their families. I always keep the shoots casual, encouraging people to wear comfortable, bright clothes that best reflect them.
This shoot delivered was lovely and colourful with all the cute chunky knits! It also shows that you can still get great shots without the sunshine beaming on you! It was a bit of a nippy day so I suggested we bring some hats and I have to say it really helped to give the shoot a fun colourful feel. Sorry I have been a while blogging this Eleanor – we got there in the end!
Milly & Taylor

So a very cute kids post for you blog followers now.
These little kiddie winks hold a very special place in my heart as they are myself and Daz’s god-children. I have done many shoots of them over the years and even had the amazing opportunity of photographing Taylor being born.
It has been a while since we got round to doing a shoot of the family as Helen and Sean wait patiently until I have a quiet patch. Unfortunately this has not been the case at all lately so I suggested we get out and grab some shots of them.
I recently found a lovely location not far from home so we headed there to get Milly and Taylor doing what they do best. Getting in front of the camera….!
I have also posted some shots I did of them years back so you can see how they have changed!
Lovely Email!

A few months ago I did a shoot for Sally’s four children (although not so child like anymore). I am used to shooting little sprogs so it was a challenge for me doing teenagers and 20 somethings. I delivered all Sally’s stuff last week and had a lovely email from her over the weekend.
“Anyone who looks at their teenage children and thinks ‘ they wont look good in a photograph because … well, just because they are a teenager ‘ need not worry, Binky can capture their personality on camera in the most amazing way. My 4 teenagers even ENJOYED the photo shoot, and they are all thrilled with having grown up photos of themselves around the house instead of lots of ‘baby’ ones.
Well done, Binky, we have photos that will last forever!”
Thanks Sally for your kind words. I have posted a few shots from the shoot below.
